Winchelsea Motel Since 2011

The Vic Roads website states that the Princess Highway running from Geelong to Winchelsea is set to be widened which will provide a much safer road for users.

The $220 million highway duplication project involves widening and reconstruction of the existing highway for 23 km to provide a safer, four-lane divided road connecting directly from the western extension of the Geelong Ring Road through to Winchelsea.

Major construction through to Winchelsea started in March 2011 with works scheduled for completion in 2014.

On the first Saturday of March at Gellibrand River, the fabulous Gellibrand River Blues and Blueberry Festival is on again.

The Ford Otway Cycling Classic is held on Sunday 26th February in the beautiful Apollo Bay which is a short 1 hour drive along some of the most beautiful roads.
